The Joint Technical Secretariat assists the Joint Managing Authority, the Joint Monitoring Committee, in carrying out their respective duties. More specifically the role of JTS is :

  • To hold secretariat function for the Joint Monitoring Committee (tasks include the preparation and the mailing of the documentation as well as writing minutes of the meetings, preparing Joint Monitoring Committee decisions on project selection);
  • Under the JMA supervision, to co-ordinate project generation by organizing info-days with public sessions and individual consultations offered to potential applicants regarding the application procedures;
  • To support JMA in preparation of application package
  • To collect and register all project applications;
  • To organize the evaluation sessions and to ensure the secretariat functions for evaluation committees.
  • To carry out information and publicity activities and public relations work (e.g. trainings, seminars, info days, conferences, partnership fora, publicity campains, promotional events, etc.) under the supervision of the Joint Managing Authority, and according to information and communication plan;
  • To coordinate and control the activity of JTS branch offices ;
  • To cooperate with organizations, institutions and networks relevant for the objectives of the programme;
  • To organize and coordinate the monitoring of the projects;
  • To receive and carry out the verification of the requests for payments, submitted by the beneficiaries, together with the report and a checklist of the supporting documents; to send the verified documents to the JMA with a notification regarding the regularity and compliance with the eligibility rules of the expenditure;
