Third reunion of the Joint Monitoring Committee

The third meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee was held in Chisinau on June 25th, 2010. The main issues on the agenda were the approval of the Annual Implementation Report and the selection procedure for Large Scale Projects.
The meeting was attended by members of the Joint Monitoring Committee of the three countries participating in the program (Romania, Ukraine, Republic of Moldova), representatives of the Joint Managing Authority (Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism), European Commission, RCBI, INTERACT ENPI and Joint Technical Secretariat (Regional Offices for Cross Border Cooperation Iasi and Suceava).
The members of the Joint Monitoring Committee approved the Annual Implementation Report for 2008 and 2009. It was also discussed the possibility of supplementing the annual financial allocation included in The 2010 Annual Work Programme for Grants , the final decision being to increase the amount of 20 million to 30 million, since many projects are expected to be received.
The selection procedure for Large Scale Projects was also approved. The final version of this procedure will be published on the website of the Programme until July 2nd, 2010. |

Information regarding the stage of the evaluation process

The first stage of the evaluation process (administrative check), carried out by the Evaluation Committee with the support of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the programme, is now concluded.
The reports were sent to the Joint Managing Authority for endorsement and, after the official approval of the reports, all the applicants will receive letters informing them of the reference number they have been allocated, whether or not their application was proposed for further evaluation and, if not, the reasons for the rejection.
The next step of the evaluation is scheduled to begin in March.
