The European Cooperation Day was also celebrated by the RO-UA-MD Programme within a large event hosted in Chisinau. Continuing the tradition inaugurated last year in Galatzi and Odessa, this year event was also targeted to the general public. Therefore, during the first half of the day, a press conference was held by the representatives of the Common Managing Authorities and of the National Authorities from the countries participating to the Programme. Around 30 journalists from Romania, Ukraine and Republic of Moldova were informed on the ”European Cooperation Day”, on the current stage of the programme implementation and also on the perspectives for cooperation for the next programming period, 2014-2020.

          

During the second half of the day, in the ”Maria Biesu” Opera and Ballet Theatre square in Chisinau, the general public had the opportunity to witness some of the achievements from the projects already implemented and currently implementing with ENPI financing through the Joint Operational Programme Romanian-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova 2007-2013, within a project exhibition that was attended by beneficiaries and partners from all the three countries participating to the programme. The inauguration of this exhibition was attended by His Excellency Mr. Pirkka Tapani Tapiola, the Head of the European Commission Delegation in Chisinau, His Excellency Mr. Marius Lazurca, the Romanian Ambassador in the Republic of Moldova, representatives of the National Authorities from Romania, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova and also by the general public.

By the end of the day, the celebration of the ”European Cooperation Day” had brought together people of all categories of age in order to enjoy the concert provided by Dara, Pasha Parfeni and Deepcentral.
