On September 21st, 2016, the Joint Operational Programme Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova 2007-2013 celebrated the European Cooperation Day in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova.

The event, which reached the fifth edition, took place in the Grand Hall of National Philharmonics “Serghei Lunchevici”, where youth and teachers from the Centre of Excellence in Artistic Education “Stefan Neaga”, beneficiary of a cooperation project financed within the Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova Programme, held a concert dedicated to European Cooperation Day.

Over 500 spectators participated in the event and enjoyed the talent of teachers and young students, giving a hearty applause to songs of great popularity in Romania, Ukraine and Republic of Moldova, but also from international repertory.

During the afternoon, Members of Join Monitoring Committee of the Programme together with management structures, representatives of European Commission and in the presence of E.S. Pirkka Tapiola, head of EU delegation in Republic of Moldova and E.S. Daniel Ioniță, Ambassador of Romania in Chișinău visited the Customs Service of Republic of Moldova, benefiting from financing in the Large Scale Project IMPEFO – improvement of cross-border cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Romania regarding the oil and food products. Press Representatives from Republic of Moldova also participated in the visit.

Other local actions dedicated to the wide audience were organized by organizations benefiting from financing for the purpose of promoting the results obtained from the implemented projects and the benefits of crossborder cooperation, in Odessa, Cernauti, Soroca, Suceava, Hincesti, Iasi, etc.
